A lot of work to can salmon

It's time to order tin again. We need to decide how many cans of salmon it'll be this year, so I can put the order in and then we can get the tin from England on time.

I don't want it to be late – it nearly was last year. And I should decide how many Chinese labourers I need... likely 80 or 90 men should do it.

The native women will be needed too... maybe 150 of them.

It's a lot of work to can salmon right.
