The Police Are On Duty!

I counted 15 policemen in town today. That`s how I know it's really fishing season. There's only two or three policemen on duty most of the time. And I'm going to sell a lot of newspapers now too... I’ll just go from hotel to hotel which is hardly any work at all cuz they are all so close together like five hotels in three blocks. When I'm done, I’m going down to the river to look at the new schnooner that just got in... I heard that the sailors keep a parrot and a monkey as their pets. I would like to have a parrot – I could teach it to talk!
