It seems strange to be both

First day of school today! Teacher had lessons prepared and all the work ready for us on the blackboard. I liked seeing everyone again, all together, working on new lessons. And we played sports too.

But we can't speak Japanese on the playground – Teacher says English only. That's hard. I like going to Japanese school after English lessons – Mother says I need to learn Japanese too.

It's strange – sometimes I can't tell if I'm to be a Japanese or a Canadian... It seems strange to be both.
