Yep – I'm a big shot now

Yep – I'm a big shot now. My new boat has power – a 5 HP one cylinder engine to be precise. No more leaky boats for me! It's 26 feet long and has an automatic intake valve outside of the air pipe.

'Course it runs a little finicky, I seem to need to tinker with it nearly every day. Still – what a great piece of equipment! My grandfather, he never used one like this – never.

I can go out farther and  faster if I need to find the fish. And it's a big improvement from fishing in a skiff where you take six oars in case you lose any and you sleep under a canvas tent using your net cover as a mattress.

Yep – I'm a big shot now!
