Watching the fishing tonight

Watching the fishing tonight

I was watching the fishing tonight. Father let me come down and see the Japanese fishermen come in with their seine boats.

The twin boats worked together by piling their nets half on each side and then sailing away from each other into a huge circle.

When they met up, they started pulling the nets in hand over hand. I counted - each boat had 16 fishermen. And as they worked, they sang together with the lights blazing while they picked the herring out of the net.

Father doesn't fish like that.
