A special treat today

My wife is so tired tonight and the kids are too. She has been making bread and scrubbing clothes and the little ones have been helping with the garden.

That's why I got them a special treat today - I brought home bags of ice packed in salt. The kids were so excited!

They each took turns on the job of turning the handle of the ice cream maker! We all ate the ice cream covered with all sorts of fresh picked berries!
